Zumba is NOT a strict dance class so no need to worry about perfect moves. It is definitely a total workout though, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility — and guaranteeing a big smile on your face each time you leave class. Originally an English teacher, I absolutely LOVE the switch from spelling and punctuation to mambos and box steps! The classes are so much fun and include plenty of energetic, easy-to-follow routines to a whole range of dance music from cheesy pop to funky seventies tunes, bouncy Bollywood tracks, slinky salsas or speedy jives.
