Standing there in the (then) freezing cold, at 6.15am, always brings about questions of sanity. However, seeing the impressive setup that was laid out, ready for the session, brought about a sense reassurance and suspense.
Bootcamps take varied forms in terms of the amount of equipment they use and the length they run for. Lean Body Bootcamp takes both of these and squashes the norms. No long sessions doing the same old circuits – instead, 30 minutes of lung-busting Runs, Jumps, Flips, Squats and Slams.
A brief warmup is followed by a few Sprint Intervals mixed to get the lungs going. Following this, circuits are built on the use of Bags, Ropes, Balls, Cones and any other equipment the cavernous Lean Body Van can magic up. Now some say the equipment is not necessary, but in this case, it gave the class true purpose and a sense of uniqueness.
